Episode 146 |A Biblical Look at Psychiatric Diagnoses with Ed Welch
Do you panic a little when you recognize yourself or your children in descriptions like “OCD,” “bipolar disorder,” or “ADHD”? Have you or your child been diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder and you’d like to understand if or how it correlates with a spiritual problem? Join Katy and me, along with special guest Ed Welch, as we discuss how we can turn to Scripture for guidance on how to navigate and understand the spiritual implications of a psychiatric diagnosis.
We have a brand new episode of the Parenting with Ginger Hubbard podcast available today. Here’s a little more about what you can expect:
Episode 146 |A Biblical Look at Psychiatric Diagnoses with Ed Welch: When a child is struggling with a psychiatric diagnosis, we have to ask the Lord how He speaks to it. We need to take away the partition between Scripture and psychiatry and recognize we cannot go any more deeply than asking the question, “What does Jesus say?” We have an opportunity to know our children well! The better you know your child and the more you understand a psychiatric disorder or problem your child is going through, the more patient you’ll be.
