Episode 201 | Cultivating Gratitude in Kids with Ruth Chou Simons

Do your kids grumble and complain instead of looking for ways to be thankful? Are you concerned that the influx of presents during the holiday season will lead your kids to a sense of entitlement rather than a heart of gratitude? Join Katy and me, along with special guest Ruth Chou Simons, as we talk about some practical ways we can encourage our kids to live in thankfulness and how we can model an attitude of gratitude.

We have a brand new episode of the
Parenting with Ginger Hubbard podcast available today. Here’s a little more about what you can expect:

Episode 201 | Cultivating Gratitude in Kids with Ruth Chou Simons: Gratitude is a heart posture, and we know that how the heart is postured will direct our actions. We need to rehearse the truths of God’s Word in front of our kids and put on display what it is to need Christ. The intentionality of praying continually means we normalize the idea that God is with us and we can pray right now–for anything! It’s also important that we teach our kids that biblical gratitude delights in giving more than receiving. Let your kids see you living this out. Everything we give comes out of believing that God gives to us first, and we can sacrifice because God’s always taking care of us.
