Episode 124 | Beating Summer Boredom with Sonya Shafer

Do your children mope around the house all summer complaining about being bored? Do they seem discontent most of the time, or unmotivated to do much of anything no matter how many suggestions you make? Join Katy and me along with special guest, Sonya Shafer, as we discuss how we can replace time-wasters with wholesome things to do to fill the void.

We have a brand new episode of the
Parenting with Ginger Hubbard podcast available today. Here’s a little more about what you can expect:

Episode 124 | Beating Summer Boredom with Sonya Shafer: There are so many ideas of things we can do to help kids from getting bored that don’t involve mindless entertainment and damaging screen time. Creating art and music are wonderful ways to have your kids express themselves over the summer months–they even have extra time to work on their projects and practice before things get busy in the fall! Art and music appreciation are other ways to incorporate a quick “lesson” so to speak that doesn’t have to involve pen and paper but provides your kids with a chance to learn something new that they may enjoy studying about later. Of course, don’t forget to head outdoors and immerse yourself in God’s creation! Grab a notebook and have the kids do nature journals with their observations about all that God has made.
