Episode 037 | When Kids Manipulate: Manipulation is when kids try to evoke an emotional reaction in order to gain control of a situation. A biblical response is much wiser than an emotional reaction when we find that our children are using manipulative schemes to try to get the response they want. Our responsibility in dealing with foolishness and manipulation with our children is to respond the same way Jesus did and put the focus back on the motive of the heart. Let’s ask God for the discernment and wisdom to be able to recognize and respond to manipulation in ways that glorify God and help our children understand their ongoing need for Jesus.
