Episode 014 | When Parents Excuse Disobedience, Part 1

Are you concerned that your child might be too young to understand what it means to obey? Do you find yourself making excuses when your child acts out? Join Katy and me as we discuss the importance of obedience and how parents can avoid power struggles when kids disobey in public.

We have a brand new episode of the Parenting with Ginger Hubbard podcast available today. Here’s a little more about what you can expect:

Episode 014 | When Parents Excuse Disobedience, Part 1: Our ultimate goal is to help our children recognize that their sinful behavior stems from their sinful hearts, and Jesus is the only cure for that sinfulness. When younger children experience consequences for disobeying, they learn the law of the harvest—that God has built the principle of sowing and reaping into their worlds, which encourages them to make wiser choices. As children get older and learn to communicate, heart-probing questions help them take ownership for the sin in their hearts, which helps them to recognize their need for Jesus.
