Keynote for Homeschool Conventions

My favorite thing in the world to do is encourage parents to reach the hearts of their children for the glory of God. My husband and I are empty nesters now, and with his job allowing him to work remotely, we love traveling and ministering together at parenting events and homeschool conventions across the country.

About My Books and Presentations

My parenting books are endorsed by Tedd Tripp, author of Shepherding a Child’s Heart. Our theology and biblical approach to parenting are the same. Not only has Tedd mentored me in ministry, writing, and personally, but he also offers my books at many of his conferences and describes them as “putting feet to his teaching.” My presentations reflect the content in my books and are a balance of solid biblical theology and practical application of Scripture.

On a Personal Note

I was a keynote / featured speaker at many state conventions for years, but stepped down from public ministry in 2009 due to a family crisis in order to support my children as a single mom and finish homeschooling them through high school. After taking an eight-year sabbatical from public ministry, I began speaking and writing again in 2016. When my new parenting book, I Can’t Believe You Just Said That released with Thomas Nelson in 2018, I stepped back into the homeschool convention arena as a featured speaker for the Teach Them Diligently Conventions and keynote for SECHE (2019).

Mom’s Night Out

In addition to the sessions below, I would be delighted to host a “Mom’s Night Out” event after the exhibit hall closes one night if you are interested. Dads would be encouraged to look after the kids so moms can enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship. This two-hour event includes worship, fun and interactive ice-breakers, giveaways, and a message of spiritual encouragement. This event has been a huge success at the Teach Them Diligently Conventions. The moms absolutely love it. At the 2019 conventions, a movie was shown during the same time for the dads and children, which made it a special evening for them as well. As far as the worship part of Mom’s Night Out, I would need someone else to lead as I can assure you that no one wants to hear me sing. Only the Lord delights in my worshiping him through song.

Topics

Reaching the Heart of Your Child

Based on Ginger’s best-selling book, Don’t Make Me Count to Three! There is far more to parenting than getting  children to “act” right. We have to get them to “think” right and to be motivated out of a love of virtue rather than a fear of punishment. Ginger equips parents to reach past the outward behavior of their children and address the issues of the heart. Move beyond the frustrations of not knowing how to handle issues of disobedience and into a confident approach to raising your children.

Taming Your Tongue

Do you find yourself threatening, repeating your instructions, or raising your voice in an attempt to get your children to obey? Do you feel guilty because you know you should be faithfully training and instructing your children in righteousness but you aren’t sure how? Through personal experience and practical application of Scripture, Ginger guides parents in how to give a biblical reproof. This presentation richly inspires and equips parents to let faithful instruction flow from their lips.

Taming Your CHILD’S Tongue

Are you ever embarrassed or shocked by what comes out of your child’s mouth? Based on her newest book, I Can’t Believe You Just Said That, Ginger provides a practical, three-step plan to reach beyond the behaviors of tongue-related struggles—such as lying, defying, and manipulating—to address your child’s heart. After all, as Matthew 12:34 tells us, “the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”

How to Parent without Provoking Children to Anger

Does your child have a comeback for everything you tell him to do or always try and get the last word, even if it’s mumbled under his breath? Does he become mad and lose control when you discipline him rather than repenting? Or does he seem indifferent, giving the impression that discipline doesn’t faze him in the least? Through biblical insights and powerful drama, learn how to avoid the snares of parent-provoked anger and raise emotionally healthy children.

Thank you for considering me as a keynote speaker for your convention.

Please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Warmly,
